Mental Mastery – or being able to master the mental faculty of your mind is about being able to use your mind to influence your current and future reality. Firstly you must understand that everything you have in your life is a sum total of all the thoughts, actions, decisions and choices you’ve made. From the time you were consciously able to choose (I guess somewhere around 1-2 years old.) everything that you see in your world, everything in your reality has come as a result of those choices, good, bad or indifferent…
And all those choices have started with a thought. The way you think is critical to how you see your reality. Your thoughts create your reality…
Your inner state of mind is the main influencing factor on why you do what you do, how you live your life and what you achieve.
Marcus Aurelius said “Our life is what our thoughts make it” and also, “The quality of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts”. And this is so true… think about it… really think about it… Let that settle in… percolate a bit…
New neuroscience research from Queens University Canada reveals that for an average day, the average person has around 6000 thoughts per day. That’s 6000 opportunities to think thoughts of positivity, success, joy, love, creativity, perfect health, self expression etc..
Instead, most people think thoughts of fear and negativity. And by doing this, they let their internal world dictate how they see themselves and their external world. Your external world is a reflection of your internal thoughts.
Other research suggests around 80% of our thoughts are negative and 95% are the same repetitive thoughts as the day before. A Cornell University study showed that around 85% of what we worry about never happens and of the 15% of the worries that did happen, 79% of the subjects discovered they could handle the difficulty better than expected or taught them a lesson worth learning.
So.. what’s the conclusion to all this…
Almost all of our worries are baseless and result from our unfounded pessimistic perception.!!
What does this mean?
That our thoughts can create our reality! Good or Bad..
Just like “you are what you eat” is a common phrase, You are what you think about. Or as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “You are what you think all day long”.
Your thoughts profoundly impact your moods and shifting emotions, your behavioral choices, your self-confidence, the healthy risks that do or don’t get taken, and your feelings of self-worth and self-esteem in all arenas of life.
So how can we manage our mind?

Remember if you want to control your future, the only thing you can control in the present moment is your internal state of mind.
Mental Mastery is a reference for improving the mental aspects of performance. It helps with managing anxiety, attitude, beliefs, confidence, concentration, emotional control, mental toughness, focus, motivation, optimism, resilience…. the list goes on.
Mental Mastery empowers us with insight into the unconscious patterns that silently drive our behaviors and outcomes in life.
The mind, without direction and vision, cannot support us to create a new experience beyond what we have already known.
